- The store system as been slightly revamped so that you will find that the storekeepers have more gold available and in return will offer a better buy price.

- The Revenge Devils are feeling a lot more lenient these days so are more tolerant about the number of deaths in the areas that they patrol. [OOC: Warnings will still be given if their presence is becoming imminent.]

- Today saw the introduction of the first MySQL database functionality that covers persistent location and time. When you first use your character after today their location will be taken from the old database but subsequently the new database will be used. As before, some areas are classed as ‘not sticky’ and your characters saved location will remain as the last saved ‘sticky’ point. Apart from the regular 10 minute saves of your character that includes location, when you save your character via the ‘Player Widget’ it also saves your location at the same time.

With the change over to the new database all ‘Privacy’ and ‘No Save’ settings have been reset. You can set them again if you so wish using the Player Widget.

Another change is that the module is now set to reload at 06:00GMT and the server reset at 18:00GMT

- The persistent storage system as now been moved over to the new database system. The limit for now still stands at 25 items per safe. Currently safes are only located in four properties however the plan is slowly add them to more locations. If you buy a house that does not feature a safe then please post in the ‘DM Request’ section of the forum with the house number if you would like one added sooner rather than later. You will be unable to store bags or quest items in the safe.

Please note: you use the safe at your own risk and if you give up the title of your house any contents of the safe will be available to the new owner.

- The other change taken place today is bringing the store databases over to the new system. Currently the only persistent store is the Foundation Bursar. The persistent stores are limited to 75 items and will have a minimum store value. Bags and items below this value will not be stored.

- Fixed more typos and removed the Module Reload feature as it was not functioning as intended. The Server will still restart at approximately 18:30 GMT each day.

- Added some new items and there is a renewed interest in herbs by several storekeepers.

- A rumour as started to circulate that certain Traders in Bottlenic are looking for fresh supplies and are willing to pay handsomely for it. Strangely this seemed to time well with finding the key to unlock the gates in to Grubb Wood.

- Recently it has been noticed that the Real Estate Agent has been getting a bit too mean with his leases and demanding the keys back earlier. Builder Bob now has had serious words with him and he once again allows you to keep your house for the full length of the lease.

[OOC: To fix the problem several housing scripts have been rationalised and the housing records have started to be moved over to the MySQL database system. To help with any future bug busting, housing transactions are now logged]

- New error handling system introduced for when database connectivity issues arise. If you enter Folderol when there is a problem linking to the database your character will be taken to a safe area called ‘Emergency Location’. This is to ensure that the integrity of your character is maintained.

- In some areas if you died and respawned you ended up in place called ‘In Between’. This as now been modified so that characters with a level of 10 or less will still go to their normal respawn location. For levels between 11 and 20 there is a greater chance of being transported to ‘In Between’. From level 21 it is guaranteed.
